Stirling Rowing Club is a club of mixed abilities ranging from complete beginners to the Worlds Vets champion, 2006 and Scottish Junior champion 2008.

We're also mixed age groups from the juniors club which has about 15 juniors, aged 12-14 and the seniors which has about 25 in it ranging from early 20's to 50's and even more seniors from 50's to 70's.

We are delighted to welcome new comers and happy to introduce them to the sport.

We train on a Tuesday evening from about 6:00pm till it gets dark.

When the clocks change we find we can't get out onto the river in the evening so we to do circuit training to keep fit.  We also train on a Sunday mornings at 9am till about 12pm. Sundays never stop and we train through the winter and the only Sunday we don't go out is Christmas or New Year, otherwise we're out there unless there is a hurricane.

Stirling Rowing Club will be at the Castle Semple Regatta
Saturday 19th May 2012

Come along and cheer all the crews on

LATEST UPDATE

Paul Murton, Film Producer with Timeline Films, and his camera man, his sound recording man, and his assistant, were filming 'Grand Tours of Scotland' at Stirling Rowing Club today. They had a beautiful sunny day here in Stirling, and Paul got out with the cameraman in the training tub with Club President, David Plank. The tide was a little low so they remained within the rail bridge to the shallow ford. David was interviewed and shared his vast knowledge of rowing and of the Stirling Riverside area with the film crew.
We all look forward to enjoying the program when it is shown on the BBC in November this year.
Thank to everyone from the club who came along to watch the filming and enjoy a row alongside the film crew.
