Stirling Rowing Club is a club of mixed abilities ranging from complete beginners to the Worlds Vets champion and Scottish Junior champion
We're also mixed age groups from the juniors club which has about 40+ juniors, aged 12-18, student members from 18-23 and the seniors which has about 35+ members in it ranging from early 20's to 50's and 'even more' seniors from 50's to 70's.
We train on a Tuesday evening from about 6:30pm till it gets dark, and again on Thursdays too.
When the clocks change we find we can't get out onto the river in the evening so we to do circuit and ergo (indoor rowing) training to keep fit.
We also train on a Sunday mornings at 9.30am till about 1pm. Sundays never stop and we train through the winter and the only Sunday we don't go out is Christmas or New Year, otherwise we're out there unless there is a hurricane.

Several other clubs use our facilities regularly to train so there's always lots going on !

Stirling University Boat Club row & train here on Saturdays from 2pm to about 4.30pm, Monday & Thursday mornings from 7am to 9am and Wednesday afternoons from 2pm to 4.30pm

The Royal Navy row and train here on Thursdays from 1pm to approx 3pm

Stirling Rowing Club is looking to recruit new coxwain's urgently !

We are offering FREE membership to anyone who wishes to train to be a cox i.e. to steer a crew boat

Ideally, you should be fairly lightweight, not overly tall, and fairly confident in directing others - Anyone ever told you you're a little bit bossy ?? Then you're perfect for being a cox !

Here's a video of our Tuesday evening winter erg training - Club members ..... why not come along at 6.30pm to 7.30pm and  get some km in ! In no time at all we'll be back on the water in the evenings & if you've been erg training over the winter, you'll feel the benefit !

We took delivery of three new boats in April 2016, thanks to funding provided by Scottish Rowing, The BIG Lottery Fund and the Littleton Trust as well as a substantial donation by our Vice President, Mr Ian Robb.

Our Boat Naming ceremony took place on Sunday 8th May, with Provost Mike Robbins attending. 'Pendreich', named after the hill and farm across the river from the club, is the name of our new quad scull, 'Queenshaugh', named after the nearby street and the fields which we row alongside, is our new double scull, and 'Jemima', named after Mrs Jemima Robb, is our new double training gig.
A great day was had by all with the sun out in its glory to join us.

Regatta Results
Some great results were achieved at several recent regattas by SRC members - at Strathclyde Park Regatta, Nithsdale Regatta and Clydesdale Regatta, Castle Semple Regatta, and Glasgow Rowing Club Summer Regatta with lots of medal wins and personal bests acheived. Well done to all the crews.
